Item Description

Seville Snuff by Fribourg & Treyer is blended from Zimbabwe Burley Leaf & Flue Cured Stem tobacco.

Flavoured with Neroli Oil - Seville Orange Essence.

Historical description states; "The phenomenal popularity of their new perfumed
snuff, Morlaix, encouraged Fribourg & Treyer to offer yet another aromatic variety, confidently believing that its unique quality will merit an equally kind
reception.

The name Seville somehow at once suggested itself, perhaps because Spain provides one of the ingredients, or maybe because the delicate orange character of its perfume brings to the mind the sunlit groves and quaint architecture of that ancient Moorish city.

Actually both Morlaix and Seville were used to name snuffs over two hundred years ago. This addition to the snuff list will especially please those takers who favour an occasional pinch of a dry, piquant snuff as a change from the heavier, moister kinds."

Price is for what is described as a 'medium' tin containing approximately 1oz of Seville snuff.

The first snuff I ever tried. I am a big fan of bright citrus tones and having no prior experience with any snuff, felt this would be a good choice.

For me anyway, I found the aroma from the Neroli oil to be overpowering and leaves no citrus notes. I do like the aggressiveness though of the peppery fine tobacco. Great quality but the aroma is not for me.

I am there.
Old Sevilla on an Autumn day. Lunch outside under an orange tree. Spot of shopping in the afternoon and, wearing my new matador hat, I am in El Rinconcillo for their legendary tapas of Spinach and Chickpeas, a slice of jamon Iberico and a chilled Manzanilla.

Another sniff then through the winding streets smelling of woodsmoke to a late flamenco bar...
If this snuff can do this for a couple of quid, why bother with holidays?

Well there has to be a snuff you come across that is not to your taste.Unfortunately this is one i'm not keen on.
It reminds me of the sweets Parmaviolets that i used to have as a kid.
For me it just dosn't go together with tobacco.
Remember the saying if you don't try you will never know.
So i'd say 'give it a go' you might like it. I didn't

Wow! Snuff gently. This is ground fine. The tobacco base is a familiar one and a very welcome friend. The F&T snuffs are noticeably consistent with their tobacco bases. The scent is disapointingly overused in toiletries making for unpleasent imagry through familiarity. However that is easily overcome due to the quality of this product. New scent associations can be made no problems there. With it\'s wonderful long lasting presise perfume scent I will go to sleep at night with this type of snuff.
