Lowen-prise snuff

Lowenprise snuff is another of our favourite Poschl brands of snuff, that is rapidly growing in popularity in the UK.

A rough translation of Lowen Prise is 'Lion Pinch', a name which in our opinion doesn't do this fresh, strikingly aromatic snuff justice. We'll speak to Poschl and find out the history, which may hopefully explain the name.

Lowen prise snuff has a aniseed fresh nose with a hint of menthol. The aniseed flavour isn't as 'over powering' as other brands.

A slightly moist snuff, that is perfect for the beginner and should already be in the seasoned campaigner's repertoire, not too sneezy and leaves a lingering hint of aniseed in the nose - so much so that the aroma is sometimes commented on.

Some snuffers choose Lowenprise as their everyday snuff.

Handsome package, moist and robust, the menthol flavour can be a bit overpowering for those accustomed to classic GH floral perfumed snuffs. That said, its moisture allows for much greater consumption and the resulting nicotine. I was a bit put off at first pinch, but it grew on me rather quickly. Something good to have around to clear the sinuses, or on very dry days, but a bit too much for more than occasional use.

Well, i'd say it's not as mild as someone can think, it has very nice smell of anis not very strong, but pleasant. The minus is that it can easily get into your throat. The plus is that the effect is long. I also like the feeling that it's burning your nose, not hard but good enough. I used many snuffs, especially Poeshl's and it'll be my favorite Poeshl snuff (with Gawith Apricot).

P.S. I ain't like it's box, 'cos I like to open the box after I sniff all my snuff (I can do it with my Gawith Apricot or Ozona Snuff) and sniff all the rest snuff. Cool snuff though!

The first time i ordered this snuff i did it mainly because of this reason: The box looks awesome! hehe, but i found it to be rather mild, with a gentle taste/smell of menthol. Anyhow, i don't like this snuff too much, as it seems to make my nose running and the snuff easily comes throgh the nose and into my throat. It is still good if you don't take too big portions, and blow your nose often :)

Michael Todd's comment has already hit the bullseye about this snuff, it indeed being eminently pleasant with exquisite liqorice, aniseed and menthol flavours without being too overwhelming. I think that this one is probably not for beginners but it is a wonderfully different snuff which I fulsomely recommend.

This is one very nice snuff and another one that I stumbled upon through Snuff Store and tried out of curiosity,especially as I've enjoyed every Porschl product I've tried so far.This one didn't disappoint either.
Dark brown,fine and moist it is a well crafted blend of menthol,aniseed & liquorice without anyone dominating the other tow.
I find this one to be rather mild, sweet and an excellent all day snuff.I was about to say that I would certainly order this one again when it occured to me that I already did!
