Item Description

McChrystal's Violet Snuff is a fine dry-ish snuff with a strong lavender kick.

It has a sweet smell and reminds us of those good old fashioned violet sweets that we used to eat as kids!

The lavender flavour in violet snuff is strong and seems to linger in the nose for quite a while. This snuff comes in a 8g plastic box with a flip side serving opening.

Definitely one for those who like their snuff to have a kick.

I have a long history with snuff; well over 40 years. This was my first time with a McChrystals snuff. As I had ordered a number of snuff for myself and a fried I forgot which McChrystals I had ordered so I tried some.
My first impression was not good. As previously noted it is a finely ground and dry snuff. Using my normal inhalation it was a bit of a shock and an unhappy one. But then the initial shock wore off and the violet smell came through. It was delightful and I now place this snuff high on my list. Close to President.

Other than O&G this is the only McChrystal\'s snuff I\'ve tried. Nice colour and texture but too finely ground for my liking. It got a very nice scent which isn\'t overpowering. I wouldn\'t say this was an all day snuff as I find it tends to \"clog\" me up a bit. I\'ll definately be using this regularly but only in conjunction with an all day snuff.

Being disabled I have a bit of trouble with this type of container, but that\'s got nothing to do with the snuff; it\'s a sign of the times.

Medium brown, fine ground and dry, as the previous review states probably due to the dispenser not being airtight. Same or similar tobacco base to Original and Genuine, so good flavour and nicotine. The violet aroma is intense initially but not overpowering, then fades very slowly, but remains for a long time. Very pleasurable when out for a walk. Not an all day snuff and the dryness means it needs to be taken with care. I wish McChrystals sold it in tins or airtight dispensers so it was a bit moister, but that's my only complaint.

I'll give this snuff the full five stars, it deserves them. Easy to take, not overwhelming in any way and it delivers the scent of violet and McChrystal's tobacco. If you get along with the McChrystal products you'll like this, alot.

I am usually not a big fan of flowery scented snuffs but McChrystal's Violet has a different edge to it that makes it one of my favorite every once in a while treats.

The grind is nearly perfect for my nose and style which makes every pinch seem to settle into the perfect spot for me and the flavor like I said before seems to have a bit of a spicy tinge to it.

I also recommend this as a perfect snuff to take just before you goto sleep as it seems to have a nice relaxing aspect to it.

I usually stick with the mentholated snuff, so this one is a nice chance of scenery. The mix of violet and lavender go together nicely. I go for this one when I want something a little different.
