Snuff Discount Code

Snuff Discount Code

Spring is almost upon us (in the northern hemisphere at least!) and Snuff Store is celebrating the fact with a special offer discount coupon code - march.

We have also reduced several products and added them to the snuff specials page, which you can find a link to at the top right of any page on our site.

So enter the code march when you order in March in the coupons area of the site. You will get 10% off the order total when ordering snuff and related products over the value of £10. You can also use the code march with items on the snuff specials page and get an even greater discount on those items.

You can use the code march as many times as you like during the month of March - the products on the snuff specials page will be listed whilst stocks last.

Please pass on the discount code march to friends and family and feel free to post it on snuff and other related sites and forums.

Many thanks for your support of Snuff Store since 2007 and in particular in the difficult period we have just fortunately left behind us when changing payment processor due to policy changes forced upon us by the powers that be at one of the two main card companies.

Have a great Spring, it’s the time for new beginnings so let’s hope that we have weathered the storm and can continue serving your snuff needs for the foreseeable future.

Snuff Store’s Payment Processor Change

February 29th, 2012

Snuff Store is once again able to accept payment via cards.

To find out who, why, and what happened to cause this glitch recently, please read on. Customers in Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the USA, please read on as there is an important message below.

Unfortunately in February 2012 we had a ‘forced’ change of online payment processor; due to a change of policy by one of the two main card companies who’s image you will find on most people’s cards.

For some reason, snuff tobacco has (along with several other products unrelated to our hobby) been classified as a potential ‘high risk fraud product’. The fact that we as a company had very few ‘charge backs’ every year and fortunately did not suffer from fraud fell on deaf ears. This meant that to continue being able to accept online transactions, we have had to move to a ‘level 1′ anti-fraud merchant account - of course this means for you as a customer, online transactions with us are now probably the safest in our particular niche.

According to our enquiries, this change of policy will be hitting all small retailers of specialised tobacco products, not just snuff & could possibly be one of the reasons the very famous snuff shop in central  London had to recently close it’s doors.

We initially thought this process would take 4 - 6 weeks, but have completed it in 2. To say this process has been difficult and painful is a complete understatement…

There is a drawback however. Our new online processor has stipulated that we cannot use it to process payments from customers living in Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the USA - don’t worry though, there is an an alternative below.

We will be working on an alternative card payment processor for customers in the countries we can’t currently accept online payment from. But in the meantime we can offer cheque or electronic bank transfer as an alternative. If anyone has any suggestions of a suitable and reputable company to use - we’d be pleased to here from you. Tobacco ’friendly’ banks and online processing companies are unfortunately very few and far between. We have several email suggesting PayPal. Unfortunately we cannot accept PayPal for payment for snuff - they banned snuff tobacco sales several years ago, but any other suggestions will be gratefully received.

*** Update 5th March 2012 ***

Snuff Store can now accept cheques (or checks depending on your location!) in all currencies. Please however note, we need the cheque made payable to Zacoby Limited. It saves us time with the counter clerk checking our trading name credentials. So please make any cheques that you send us payable to Zacoby Limited. Please contact us prior to posting a cheque, so we can create an invoice and confirm and agree with you an exact amount in your currency. Of course, if you’d prefer to use GBP or electronic transfer as a means of payment for snuff that is ok too!

*********************************

To contact us, please use the contact us page on the main site / top right of this page. If you want to order snuff from us and you live in any of the countries that we cannot currently accept online payments from, please contact us and we will send you details of our bank / company payment name to put on the cheque etc to organise this. We will treat payments in this manner as if they have ‘cleared’, so we won’t hold up getting the snuff out to you.

Lastly, it seems somewhat ironic that we initially launched Snuff Store back in 2007, due to the lack of supply and variety of snuff in our local area, only to find that we ourselves could have been forced out of business - not from lack of support from customers, but from lack of support from banks… So much for small businesses driving the world economy out of global recession eh?

We do need your support. Snuff is a very low profit item and we have mounting bills to pay from suppliers and the like. Please continue to use Snuff Store and let’s hope we can continue for the foreseeable future without any further hiccups.

Kind Regards
Julia & Tim

Snuff By Terry Pratchett

September 22nd, 2011

Snuff By Terry Pratchett

Snuff Terry PratchettSnuff is the 39th novel in the Discworld series written by Sir Terry Pratchett.

Being personally an avid reader of Terry Pratchett’s Discword series, I was like a ‘kid in a sweetie shop’, (or should that be an ’adult in a snuff shop’?!) when I saw the newest title in the DiscWorld series being advertised in our local bookshop!

Snuff by Sir Terry Pratchett is due to be launched and published on 13 October 2011 in the United Kingdom and I for one cannot wait!

You can therefore perhaps imagine my delight, when we received an email in to Snuff Store, asking if we’d help with a ’special assignment’ in relation to the launch party of the new book Snuff. Little did I realise that our humble snuff emporium was thought of in such high regard!

Of course it is our pleasure to assist with such a honourable task; hopefully very shortly, selected guests and perhaps some of our esteemed customers and friends with be able to sample the delights of such nose fancies as;

Bewilderforce Gumption’s Sweet Raspberry Snuff as well as his intriguingly named Double Thunder Snuff!

Sweet Raspberry Snuff is described as; an aromatic snuff with fruit overtones and finely ground.
Double Thunder Snuff is described as; A robust snuff coarse ground with a full vigorous flavour.

That’s about all I can tell you for now, although I’m itching to tell you more, so watch this space. If you’re a Discworld fan like I, then maybe you’ll want to reserve your copy of the new Snuff book by Terry Pratchett by following this link - Snuff.

Like Snuff Store On Facebook

May 26th, 2011

Since adding the ability to ‘like’ individual Snuff Store products on facebook, we’ve had several people ask how they can just ‘like’ the main snuff site, rather than an individual snuff related product. To do this, and like Snuff Store on facebook, please click the image links in the box above.

Of course, you can continue to ‘like’ Snuff Store on any of the other social media platforms listed at the end of this post!

Two New Snuff Blends Added

April 29th, 2011

Big news this week. We’ve added several new ‘difficult to get
hold of’ snuffs, as well as two totally brand new blends.

Firstly the completely brand new blends; We’ve added two new
Wilsons snuff blends to Snuff Store’s ever growing inventory.
Both new blends are directly due to Snuff Store approaching
Wilsons and asking for these blends to be created, after
receiving numerous requests from our valued customers.

You asked for them and we got them for you!

Wilsons Apple Snuff and Wilsons Apple & Blackcurrent Snuff

Secondly, we continue to add blends to our inventory that are
considered ‘difficult to get hold of’ in the UK.

Check out the Poschl section of the main snuff site and you
will see several ‘new’ ones added to the inventory. These
include Alpina, Andechs Kloster, FC Bayern and Ozona English
Menthol
type snuffs.

We have also had a fresh snuff delivery of all other Poschl
blends. Including the recently added Gawith Cola, Ozona Orange,
Ozona Spearmint and Radfords snuffs.

There are several other ‘difficult to get hold of’ snuffs in
the pipeline that we hope to add in the coming weeks - once
we get hold of them! Look out for further updates as and when
they arrive.

Last but not least, although there has been several public
holidays this last couple of weeks - Easter break and of course
the Royal Wedding today, we have managed to get resupplied
by most of the main snuff manufacturers with fresh snuff.

We are expecting further deliveries of fresh snuff next week
of those blends which have unfortunatelty gone out of stock
during this extended break.

Today whilst watching the Royal Wedding, we will be snuffing
Princes Snuff and English Rose!

That’s it for this week, have a great ‘long’ weekend.

US Snuff Deliveries

July 9th, 2010

Several of our valued US customers and friends have asked whether there’s a problem with posting snuff to the States from the UK since 1st July 2010, because of the PACT legislation coming into force.

We have not been informed of any difficulties in receiving snuff by our customers. Nor have we had any orders returned to us by the US Customs Service.

We have continued posting orders in volume to the US since the 1st of July and although there is the usual seasonal drop off due to holidays, plus an important celebration on the 4th, (we hope you guys have recovered from the festivities!) we haven’t noticed any adverse effects.

To be on the safe side we have also been including notes at random in orders to our US customers, asking for feedback on delivery time and whether there had been any hold up by the US Postal service /or US Customs.

The below comment is indicative of recent comments we have received;

HOLY SMOKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No delay at all, I ordered it Monday the 5th July.

and got it today - Thursday 8th July.

I think that’s a record for you guys.

Cheers to you Tim,

Best Regards,

John

Obviously we can’t always guarantee that kind of turn around, as the Royal Mail themselves quote 28 days for international delivery, (we think just to be on the safe side) but orders usually enter the postal system same or next day and are generally with customers State side within a week to ten days.

We’ll continue mailing to our valued customers in the USA until we’re told otherwise. As usual, if your order is returned to us for any reason, we will contact you and ask how you’d like to proceed.

We also continue to offer our ‘Signed For’ service at no extra postage charge on orders of goods over £25.00. We’ll just upgrade your postage for you and in most cases this ensures that it gets to you quicker and is automatically insured should it get lost in the post.

Samuel Gawith Snuff Blends Added

May 9th, 2009

Big Samuel Gawith Snuff update this week.

We’ve once again stocked up on our Samuel Gawith snuff selection; and as promised, several that weren’t available after change over from tins to the new style plastic cartons have now been added and resupplied.

We’ve added 23 ‘new’ blends - when we say new, we mean that they’re new to us. Most are by popular request and we’ll continue adding as blends become available in the new style cartons.

Excitingly for us, since we’ve moved over to a Samuel Gawith supplier who’s as equally enthusiastic about snuff as we are; several of the blends that we’d previously been led to believe had been discontinued have been resurrected…

We hope you can take time to peruse the Samuel Gawith section - it now spreads over 3 pages. Please submit reviews for any that are ‘lacking’ if you’ve got comments to add. It’s a hard task trying all these blends I can tell you!

Silver Snuff Box Competition Winner

March 15th, 2009

The lucky winner of our Silver Snuff Box competition in December 2008 was kind enough to send in some photos of himself using the Silver Snuff Box Pattern Lid, that we got to him as promised in time for Christmas 2008 - as an early Christmas present from us!

Leman from Iowa in the USA was picked at random from the snuff reviews submitted within the time frame specified. Leman doesn’t know it yet, but we’re going to try and get him to pick the number of the lucky entrant’s review for the current snuff box competition, which closes at the end of March.

So well done to you Leman and good luck to all those entering the Walnut Snuff Box competition this March.

Snuff Box Competition

March 15th, 2009

As mentioned in the newsletter a couple of weeks back, we’re running another snuff box competition, this time for a lovely polished Walnut wood snuff box - courtesy of Dholakia snuff, who have also been sending out loads of samples of their new blends. See below for a photo of this Walnut wood snuff box.

Hopefully we’ll have some good news on the new Dholakia blends being available and stocked soon; I was particulary partial to the ‘roasted nut’ blend; when mixed with my favourite coffee snuff, the result was heavenly!

Any way, enough of the rambling! Like the snuff box competition pre-Christmas, all you have to do to enter this month’s snuff box competition is submit a snuff review. But… The review must be on the page of the main snuff site referring to the snuff blend or product in question. Please don’t submit the review in the comments section below this post, as it won’t be counted.

To see an example of a snuff review, check out the review under the main listing for Alt Offenbacher Köstlich Snuff by Bernard.

You can enter the competition as many times as you like. All submissions from the 1st of January 2009 will be admitted.

Same rules as last time; The more reviews you write, the more chances you’ll have of winning the snuff box - no purchase is necessary to enter the competition.

You can write a review for any snuff product listed on Snuff Store - if you agree, disagree or want to add to an already existing review that’s fine. Just click the ‘Write Review’ button below the product listing and your review will be added to a queue for us to check and release.

Your review should be around a minimum of 50 words, describing the snuff product in question. The snuff review doesn’t have to be a ‘positive’ review - we’re just as interested in finding out if you disliked a snuff for any particular reason. Just make your review original, honest and objective.

Your snuff review must be written in English.

To be entered into the snuff box competition, your snuff review must be ‘submitted’ to us by midnight (GMT) Tuesday 31st March 2009.

The winning review will be picked at random on Wednesday 1st of April 2009 (No Fooling!) and the snuff box sent out to the lucky winner free of charge.
