Snuff Books & Literature
Below are a selection of snuff related books and literature. They are listed in no particular order.
Snuff books generally tend to be either old ‘descriptive’ types actually about snuff taking, or new ‘collectors’ types, generally aimed at snuff box and snuff bottle collectors.
To save you time, each snuff book title below is hyperlinked to a webpage listing the actual book, please scroll through and click the book title to open a new window to view the book. Please be aware, that many of the below books are long out of print and will only be available second-hand.
With the exception of Snuff by Ursula Bourne - which is available via Snuff Store, all the below snuff books have been sourced through Amazon.
You could also try the ebay snuff category and then refine your search when you get to their site by clicking the relevant links on the left of the page when you arrive.
Last but not least, for more difficult to find snuff books, you could try searching Biblio and typing ’snuff’ in their search option. They have a wide range, generally sent direct from book shops and antique book shops.
If you know of any other snuff books or literature, please contact us using the form on Snuff Store’s home page, or leaving a comment on our news pages.

Poems And Parodies In Praise Of Tobacco is a rare treasure, only 501 copies have ever been printed of this book. 151 presentation copies and 350 for public sale. It has a section on snuff and is a wonderful little book. It is printed on hand made paper. Very rare, if you see a copy of Poems And Parodies In Praise Of Tobacco, snap it up. I have seen one of the 151 presentation copies for sale recently. I’ve fortunately managed to get hold of one of the 350 copies originally sold to the public… My copy is not for sale!

Earle B. Hill). Published in 1840. I have been fortunate enough to have obtained a copy of A Pinch Of Snuff. My copy is worn out and dog eared… I love it! This book rarely comes up for sale. If you see a copy, buy it. I’ve posted about A Pinch Of Snuff on the news blog a few times. I intend to continue doing so. I never fail to gain pleasure when reading this book - my copy is not for sale.
