Snuff Mill / Snuff Grinder Large Metal

This metal snuff mill is a heavy weight quality product that should give you a large enough capacity to make fairly decent sized snuff batches for home use. Grinding snuff with this snuff mill is a breeze.

Measuring approximately 7.5 cm tall and with a diameter of approximately 7cm, the snuff mill breaks down into three parts, all the parts screw together. This snuff mill weighs approx 200g.

The first, is the milling apparatus that has a handle on the top that you turn to mill your snuff, this is connected to the snuff grinder which operates on a spring like mechanism that pushes the tobacco against a metal sieve and grinding blades.

The second is the chamber into which you place the 'raw' material you wish to mill into snuff.  This chamber is approximately 2cm deep and can hold a fair quantity of your chosen raw tobacco material.

The third is a funnel that screws on underneath the sieve and catches your snuff and funnels it into a container of your choice.

If DIY snuff making is your thing, then this snuff mill can be used to grind up tobacco products such as cigars, cigarettes, loose baccy etc into a fine tobacco powder.

Then all you have to do is add your favourite flavour or go 'au natural' and you're in the snuff making business.

A beautiful individually handmade snuff box, (so the grain and colour may differ slightly from the image.) all are of excellent quality and lovely to hold.

The Jatoba Wooden Snuff box is hand made by a craftsman in Germany on a 'bespoke' basis to a very practical (no surprise there then eh?) design - BMW, Mercedes, Wooden Snuff Box...

The snuff box measures approximately 7cm long, 4cm wide and 2cm deep. It can hold around 10g of your favourite snuff.

The operation of opening this Jatoba snuff box is ingenious. The lid closes very tightly and is held in place by a beech dowel, which will colour up with use from the snuff tobacco it holds in place.

To open, you slide the dowel out and what only can be described as a 'triangular' opening appears in the box. Fill the box with your favourite snuff. Replace the pieces and you're all set. To view full operating instructions, click how to use snuff box.

To use the snuff box, push the dowel in and a small circular opening will appear. You can then tap out your snuff onto the back of your hand, and sniff or pinch to your nose.

Round Silver Snuff Box with small and large 'dosing hole'.

This snuff box is made from beautiful highly polished silver and is bound to be a point of conversation whenever you take it out for a pinch.

It is .925 Sterling Silver and has a hallmark on the side; size-wise it’s approximately 3.8cm in diameter x 1 cm deep and weighs about 24 grams. For approximate size estimations, we have taken this photo alongside a one penny piece.

Those of you familiar with Ozona Raspberry snuff, will recognise the design of this round silver snuff box; to use, you simply twist the top of the round silver snuff box whilst holding the bottom to align the dosing holes, this will allow you to tap out your desired measure of snuff to your wrist. Simply twist again to 'close' the round silver snuff box and prevent spillage.

To fill use a snuff spoon or a small funnel - or adapted paper funnel. We have also been told that the 'two halves' can also be gently prised apart and the 'inner' half filled with your desired snuff. Care must be taken if using this method not to damage the round silver snuff box's 'runners'.

The round silver snuff box comes with two different sized dosing holes. Depending on required measure, grind or moisture level of your chosen snuff, adjust to the required hole.
