"Wrights Coal-Tar" soap! I must be such a Phillistine because this was my first & last reaction to "KB Special". Grit shoots right to the back of my throat each & every time I take even the most gently of 'snuffs' of this coarse, almost black, offering from Samuel Gawith. I thought I was going to choke on a couple of occasions; there must be some knack to taking such a coarse snuff but I haven't got it. I've read & heard good things about some of the coarser snuffs so this came as a shock. How do people take it? And should it leave the taste of carbolic soap? I'll put it down to my own inexperience and, therefore, give it a 2.
