The snuff itself is dark, course and almost what I would describe as oily...but in a good way! A great way in fact, the trouble is, as it is so moist and oily it tended to clump a lot in the tap box. It was in fact difficult to get out..and is even more difficult to stay in the nose.
That all being said, I love it. It's what I might call an outdoor snuff because this stuff will fall right out of your nose and on your shirt so be aware!
Dark rich, wet oily lavender, complex richness that I can't describe well...almost like smelling lavender in an old garage. My nose get's very greedy for it. I'd rate this higher but the inability to keep it in my nose has knocked it down a notch. I've heard the best way to enjoy these wet coarse grinds is to buy them in the tub so they retain their moistness and that lessens the clumping.
