I must admit I don't quite understand this one. The thought of tobacco free snuff intrigued me, but the admittedly pleasant fruity, sherberty scent doesnt seem to resemble anything I would normally sniff. The white colour unfortunately does resemble something many people do sniff and shouldn't, and it also clumps up, leaving little white rocks in all kinds of visible places, cheek, lip, clothing, etc. I don't want to risk a body search just for the sake of novetly, so I won't be taking this one out anywhere.
Porschi - it might be worth having a mirrored part to the packaging as per your excellent President snuff!

Many years ago, I heard of tobacco-free snuff. Intrigued, I went to Smith's Snuff Shop (of blessed memory) in the Charing Cross Road to ask for some. The proprietor got most affronted, and was convinced it was a factory joke along the lines of asking for tartan paint or a 'long stand'.

Nonetheless, I eventually found some by mail order and have enjoyed the occasional tin every since. I find this a very pleasant snuff to give a real 'snort' to as it doesn't irritate my sinuses and gives a good refreshing blast. It's perfect for a pick me up if you have to spend a long time in a stuffy room such as a library or classroom.

The only downside, and why it doesn't get five stars, is that it tends to lose its freshness very quickly once opened. One can, however, revitalise it by adding a couple of drops of eucalyptus oil (the kind you get in chemists for inhaling) through the hole, shaking well and leaving overnight to 'soak in'.

Now I bought this to try and have to say that I was pleasantly suprised. It just goes to show that Snuff can exist without nicotine! This little fellow can easily hold its own. However, the powder can come out a little clumpy so make sure you give the tin a good tap before you open it. If anything this will get people looking at what you are up to!

If I was to describe it I would say it would be like a snuff you would buy from a sweet shop. I can imagine this to be amongst the penny sweets and candy bars. Don't be fooled though, this can pack a punch if you over do it. The white powder on the other hand is definatley not for public appearance or do we stand tall and say "No....its Snuff and we're proud! (I am scoring this a 3 as it can work without Nicotine) Laurie

I do not find this snuff to be as mild as other people say, it is very mild for a few seconds after you take some, and then a good burst of awesomeness strikes your head! It does still not contain nicotine, and i use it mainly as a "fooler," at parties and such, making myself two or more long portions on a table, making it look as if i were using cocaine :D You have no idea how many that falls for this! ps: Remember to show them the snuff container!

Pleasant enough snuff.
Clear, lightly fragranced, and very crisp.

The packaging is quite handsome, though I myself am not fond of small openings, preferring a fully removable top lid. Never-the-less, there is little worry of the box opening within one\'s pocket (though this has never happened to me, yet).

A good alternative to traditional tobacco snuff as it is without the addictive qualities.

I would however hesitate to take this in public unless armed with a handkerchief. White powder round one\'s nostrils may cause problems with our fellow persons uninitiated to white snuff.

I bought this partly so I can bring snuff to some formal dinners, and as brown snuff and white gloves don\'t mix, I thought it may be expedient to try white.

On the whole, a pleasant snuff with positive attributes for those hesitant of the addictive properties inherent in tobacco.
