Crumbs of Comfort is an apt name for this snuff, moist and light it has a very comfortable feel on the nose.

The flavour is more spearmint than menthol, being a lot sweeter than a standard mentholated snuff. I would attribute it to a spearmint softmint with a tang of menthol poking through. A good snuff for the first forays into menthol style sniffing material.

I love the sweetness, very much a 'dessert' in the world of snuff. Even I would say it is moresh, one pinch is never enough when the box is opened.

For true menthol I would go for O&G or Hedges (for the whack up the backside!) but for something a touch milder than that minty sting I always reach for Sheffields Crumbs of Comfort.

A dry, light to medium brown snuff, medium ground which comes in a small, round tin that fits neatly in the pocket and I find pleasingly tactile. Too much rubbing of the tin will quickly render the label on its lid blank, which could leave you wondering about its contents, if its aroma wasn't so distinctive. Crumbs of Comfort delivers an initial strong flavour of fresh spearmint, followed by good dose of menthol and not too much tobacco. Very light and refreshing.

A medium brown, medium ground and medium moisture snuff which would be ideal for beginners. I detect some menthol which clears the sinuses, but the aroma is dominated by sweet spearmint - like chewing gum with a pleasant nicotine hit afterwards. A refreshing, simple daytime snuff for spearmint lovers, which won't blow you away with menthol.

This is quite an old blend and very popular in its day (before the advent of chewing gum)

Personally, I find the flavour too spearminty and a little like putting a Wrigley's spearmint chewing gum in you nostril. As you do.

Of course, if you like spearmint chewing gum...

Without a doubt this is one of the most popular snuffs from one of the most popular brands. Ceetainly very well known since it has been popular for many decades.

There seems to be some confusion as to whether or not this snuff is mentholated. Personally, I don't detect any, and I'm pretty sensitive to it. If it is here its very light. Since mint (Spearmint being the predominant flavor here) has so many similar qualites to menthol, that is likey the source oif the confusion.

I find this to be exceptionally refreshing, and could be the perfect pick-me-up on a hot day or after a days work in a boiler room!

I think even non-menthol fans (myself included) will find this one to be an occasional treat.

This snuff has a nice spearmint flavour, and is very easy to take. There isn't much menthol here, which personally speaking is a good thing, it allows the spearmint flavour to dominate without any burning, meaning you can take large pinches without your nose running or your eyes watering.
