Morlaix (Sharrow) Snuff

Morlaix (Sharrow) snuff falls into the category of SP snuff. Its basic aroma is of the finest tobacco leaves with just a hint of the addition of various essential oils of Mediterranean citrus fruits.

Have you tried Wilsons Morlaix snuff yet? No? Get some and get some now! It is lovely and well worthy of a 4 score. Reminicent but not as pungent of Grand Cairo and slightly more robust than Tom Buck. Most certainly from the same school.

Nice hints of Sandalwood and a little Bergamot is what I get from this gem and it snuffs fairly well once you have the right amount. As always, the tins offer up good value being that bit bigger and they will always get people talking. Wilsons of Sharrow are rapidly becoming my favourite because their snuffs are imaginative and flavoursome.
Just a word of warning, be careful on opening the tin from new - they are well stacked! Laurie

The previous reviewer pretty much summed it all up and there isn't a lot I can add to it really.Though I must say that this is one of the best SP snuffs that I've encountered.Typically for an SP it's on the fine and dry side and the flavours are subtle and complement each other nicely.
Doesn't quite match the finesse of F&T snuffs but it has a quality of its own.It's mellow and thoroughly enjoyable.

For me, this is another of Wilsons' masterpieces.

It's a high quality, medium-fine ground SP with a subtle infuson of fruits and an apparent hint of sandalwood/musk in the very background.

Not as intensely flavoured as some of the Fribourg & Treyer blends, but something with just a little more complexity that a "plain" SP.

Taken when I am writing or composing, Wilson's Morlaix offers just the right touch of intrigue beyond a simple, good, reasonably moist SP, without being so intense as to distract.

Moist enough to be easy to take; aromas that keep the nose clear without resorting to the menthols and medicated mixtures I use in the wintera gentle lift and a delicate aroma that last well, and fade gracefully.

Another "highly recommended".
